My career started in Hollywood, I've now been working as a make-up artist for more than 30 years.

In Los Angeles I learned the tricks of the makeup and hair profession trade. For 13 years, I had such an amazing time there. Music videos with e.g. Snoop Dogg. Shooting commercials on the beach in Malibu as dolphins swam by. TV programs on well-known sound stages such as Universal, Warner Bros, Paramount. Shooting movies in the mountains where, for example, a real grizzly bear was also a star. Photography, events, interviews with big stars such as Al Pacino and Robert Downey Jr. But the 2 Michael Jackson performances in 2002, my childhood hero, for which I was allowed to do the hair and makeup of the dancers, were the icing on the cake!

“Can't you come to my house every morning?” That question inspired me to start giving workshops.

People I got in my makeup chair at Koffietijd
so often joked: "Can't you come by every morning?" and also: "This is so beautiful and nice, because I have no idea what I'm doing!" And so the idea of giving workshops arose. I've now collected all my makeup tips & tricks in a teaching setting, so that many women can feel really confident about their own make-up skills.

The Beauty Classes in my INNER BEAUTY CENTER are full of tips that anyone can learn.

In addition to my makeup work for the media, which I still enjoy doing, I've also found a great space in Hilversum that I now call: INNER BEAUTY CENTER. The Natural and Glam Beauty Classes are full of tips that anyone can learn, even if you have two left hands.

I love my
craft. As a freelancer and teacher.

When I came back to the Netherlands, I soon worked a lot on several TV programs.

However, the distance with my family became too great as I got older. That's why I decided to move back to the Netherlands in 2005.  I soon found myself working on various television programs.

I met Quinty Trustfull and became her regular make-up artist for Koffietijd. And therefore also a familiar face for all the guests that appeared on the show. For twelve years I had many celebrities in my chair, politicians, people with their own story for various charities, artists.... All walks of life passed by. And of course also with Quinty every day. It was home. And I look back on it with great pleasure and gratitude.

I enjoy seeing everybody shine and sparkle!

It is heart-warming how much fun all the ladies have and how much laughter there is. At the end of the class everyone is beaming just like the many stars I've done makeup for. After so many years of experience, it feels very organic to now pass on this knowledge. And all participants go home with many new skills. I am thoroughly enjoying it! I love my profession. As a freelancer and as a teacher.
